NuRain was born out of a vision to create a more sustainable future. Rooted in Saudi Arabia's advanced research environment at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), we've developed a revolutionary wastewater treatment technology that combines the power of Aerobic Granular Sludge (AGS) and Gravity-Driven Membrane (GDM). NuRain was conceptualized and developed to address the unique water challenges faced by the region.

The company’s name, NuRain, carries a profound Arabic meaning—“twin light”—representing the duality of its technology (AGS and GDM) that works in harmony to deliver exceptional results. The English interpretation, “new rain,” further reinforces NuRain’s mission to produce high-quality reuse water, symbolizing renewal and sustainability.
